NOTE: WE ARE NOT TAKING SUBMISSIONS AT THIS TIME, DUE TO BUDGETARY CONSTRAINTS. THAT MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE, SO STAY TUNED.
The Center for Prophetic Imagination is looking for content submissions. We’re accepting pieces that explore nature of the prophetic task today: that work that exists at the intersection of radical action and deep spirituality.
Pieces should make a clear connection between spirituality and social justice. Though we welcome exploration of practical applications, we won’t publish pieces that have calls to action on local or regional issues.
This is an ongoing call for submissions. We will publish up to 40 submissions per year.
Format: Personal essays and reflections, commentary that addresses justice issues, engagements with scripture that point towards application, etc.
We will, on rare occasions, publish poetry. No short-stories.
Though we want thoughtful engagement, we avoid pieces that are overly academic in tone.
Submissions must resonate with the Core Principles of the Center for Prophetic Imagination.
Length: 500-1000 words
Reuse policy: We prioritize writing that hasn’t been previously published, but will consider re-publishing content that hasn’t been widely circulated.
Compensation: We will give $50 for each accepted submission.
Submissions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a short (2-3 sentence) bio with your submission.
